This week I took advantage of Sprout’s BOGO (buy one get one free) sale! These sales don’t come often and while I would love to stock up on all.the.things I have to make sure that these buy one get one’s don’t wreak havoc on my grocery budget or that I buy too much and don’t use it. So, I stuck to stocking up on cereal, crackers, frozen broccoli and pita bread.

This week’s total grocery haul totaled $110.05 which is actually under budget! My usual weekly budget is $125 for our family of 4.

I also was able to earn some money using my Ibotta App. I love it because I always find things that I am already buying and I don’t have to go to 10 different places to get savings for both stores.

Meal Plan

This meal plan includes basic pantry staples and some items I already had in my freezer. Before I go food shopping, I always take a quick inventory of my pantry and freezer. When I do this, I’m less likely to buy items I already have or buy too much and let things go to waste. This week, I had meatballs in the freezer from the week before so I only had to buy for 4 dinners.
